CREATIVE CURIOSITY THROUGH LANDSCAPES

WINTER 2026 COLLECTION

True to its commitment to contemporary art and design, Longchamp is partnering for the first time with the textile artist Caroline Hélain and her delicate creative universe. At the heart of this encounter is a dialogue between sensibility and creative curiosity, which has given rise to a capsule collection of leather goods and ready-to-wear. While art and its myriad expressions have always accompanied the history of Longchamp, their role this season is more prominent, becoming a territory to explore between a yearning for escape and an openness to new horizons.

A keen observer of the world around her, artist Caroline Hélain explores the connections between landscape, materials and visual memory. Her creative practice, at the intersection of art and experimentation, is based on the freehand cutting of fabrics, which she then assembles in sensitive, abstract compositions interweaving materials and colors. These carefully crafted patchworks create a dialogue between color and depth, evoking natural, organic forms from which emerge, here and there, cliffs, dunes or strips of sky, each one a fragment of landscape.

For Longchamp, Caroline Hélain has created nine exclusive landscapes, distinguished by their rich yet delicate use of texture and nuance, where forms echo one another in a subtle play of colored threads. Transposed onto the savoir-faire of Longchamp, these landscapes come to life on a capsule collection of leather goods and ready-to-wear.

On the Daylong line, the motifs take shape through finely worked layers of leather, expertly and painstakingly stitched in Longchamp’s workshops. The two models – a mini bag and a weekender – are an invitation to travel, to discover unknown lands.

On the knitwear pieces – sweaters and long dresses – the artist’s colorful compositions cover the entire surface of the garment in a soft and enveloping fresco. Combining two noble materials, the sleeveless top in calf leather is the collection’s stand-out piece, suggesting a landscape of dunes beneath an expanse of blue sky in a myriad nuances of bouclé virgin wool.

Caroline Hélain’s graphic landscapes also adorn the basics of a nomadic wardrobe proposed by Longchamp: silk scarf and cashmere squares, a series of T-shirts with a motif on their pocket and Le Pliage Collection cotton canvas tote bags in a mineral palette of Olive, Thistle, Caramel and Ballet.

“My artistic practice exists at the boundary between figuration and abstraction. My collaboration with Longchamp has given me, for the first time, the opportunity to extend the landscapes I create onto the scale of the body. The idea that my horizons can follow the move, enveloping the entire silhouette, feels deeply meaningful to me.” – Caroline Hélain, Textile Artist.

“Season after season, I love to seek out creative talents. When I discovered Caroline Hélain’s work, I was fascinated not only by its sensibility, but also by its precision technique. Both these dimensions speak to the creative curiosity and the savoir-faire which have always defined Longchamp, making this a natural collaboration for Winter 2026.” – Sophie Delafontaine, Longchamp Creative Director.
